The day was brought to a perfect conclusion with Holy Hour services and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Grownups' Diet Low On Milk It'» practically impossible to have eAough calcium in the diet without including milk, says nutrition specialist Harriet Barto, University of Illinois College of Agriculture. The average healthy woman should have three glasses of milk each day for best nutrition, tout most women don't get this much. Surveys show rhat the average diet, of women includes little more than half the calcium they should have. A second nutrie u that ti 'low ill most women's diet Is also fouhd in milk, tt Is one of the B-vrtamins, riboflavin. Riboflavin is necessary for healthy eyes, skin and other tissues, and it is related the body's resistance to disease. Whether yon use skim or whole milk, the amounts of calcium and riboflavin will be the same in each, says Miss Barto. If you prefer, use the various forms of milk and the many products of milk In your choking, along with the fluid milk. Three tablespoons of dried skim milk, for instance, contains nutrients equivalent to ti: one cup of liquid skim milk. Some women and teen-age girls don't use milk because they believe it is fattening. Actually, milk and milk products are basic foods in all scientificaljy sound reducing diets. We don't just scan it, but read it. Some* times it takes a few days ti§" complete it. We are always impressed by what progress is taking place in the community, and when we visit there we always take note of the many changes that have taken place since we were there last. The one thing that does not change is the friendliness that I have always encountered in McHenry. I was bom there, left as a young child, and returned to ^ complete my high school training here. , My first experience with friendliness was in high school. As a new student I shall never forget Mr. Duker's kindness extended me on that first day in March of 1934. Then \ there were teachers who were so very kind. But the group that I cannot forget is the student body. And that student body is now the group who have gone to all the effort of saluting your fine superintendent of schools, Mr. Duker, for his thirty years of service. I cannot express in woj-ds how I felt when I read tl> story of Mr. Dukei's life as portrayed by C.O.F. and others. It left sort of a nostalgic feeling would it not ? Then Miss Stevens' little addition relating her pleasure to be a part of the community. Friends, it was a pleasure" to read all about it, but it must have been mofe of a pleasure to be a part of it!
