RINGWOOD By Mrs. George Shepard Wedding Paul Glauser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Glauser, was martied Saturday evening at 5 O'clock to Miss Jacqueline Barber of McHenry at the Methodist church in McHenry by the Rev. ; Corbett. A reception for 100 guests .followed in the ciiurch parlors. Guests were from Chicago, Elgin and Ringwood. The couple will make their home in an apartment in the Town Club in McHenry. 4 Parties Tile Evening W.S.C.S. held its Christmas party at the home of Mrs. John Hogan Wednesday evening. Mrs. Paul Walkington had the devotionals and Mrs. Walter Low gave the lesson, "The Christmas Story." Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mis. Henry Aissen entertained their card club at a turkey dinner at their home Friday evening. Names were drawn for a Christmas party. Housewarming Mr. and M:s. Harold Ackerman and family were tendered a housewarming at their new home west of town Saturday evening. Among the Sick Wayne Foss suffered a heart aitack Thursday while teaching school. He was taken by ambulance to the Burlington hospital, where he is very ill. Friday, Dec. 10, Mrs. Prank Harrison assisted us in preparation of the Christmas play, "On& Christinas." The play tells how Santa Claus visits many countries, learning about their ways of celebrating Christmas. There are many beautiful songs from these countries, which will be sung. The play will be held Dec. 20 on Monday afternoon. Veronica Davis, school reporter Last Week's Items Church News The Junior Youth Fellowship will have a Christmas meeting at the John Hogan home on Friday evening. The building committee will meet at the schoolhouse Friday evening at 8 p.m. to read the bids for the construction of the new church. The color film strip, "Christopher Mouse," will be shown next Sunday morning at the Ringwood Sunday school. The Round-up club held its Christmas party in the Robert Low home at McHenry Saturday evening. School News On Wednesday of last week, Miss Edith Vogel, the assistant county superintendent of schools, visited here, she was shown some samples of our work. Four movies were shown on Wednesday. Lord Lovat of Beauty Castle, Inverness Shire, Scotland, in company with Ray Watherson of Pentcaitland, Scotland, visited at Ringwell Farm on Thursday during the time of the International Live Stock show. In the evening, Edellyn Farm of Waukegan entertained at dinner in their honor at the Country Squire at Grayslake. Mr. and Mr s. Ewell and Mr. and Mrs. Cruickshank attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Walkington entertained their five hundred club Tuesday evening. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. B. T. Butler and Kenneth Cristy, high, and Mrs. Pete Sebastian and Earl Shales, low. Mrs. Pete Sebastian enteitained the women's five hundred club at her home Wednesday. A 1 o'clock dessert luncheon was served. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Louis Hawley and Mrs. Kenneth Cristy.
