Hiree-fourths of the net proceeds will be donated to the fire department of Lakemoor. The crowd that was present liad a wonderful time. On behalf of the L.I.A., I wish to thank everyone who had anything at all to do with fhe success of this party. Although it was nowhere near as successful as other parties in the past, we will; try to blame it on the weather, A report on the financial end of the dance will be published in next week's paper. Those who did not attend sure missed a wonderful evening of fun. "On March 19 the L..I.A. will hold their monthly meeting in tlte firff house. It will be a basket party and there will be dancing and refreshments. Further news in regard to this affair will also be in. a future column of the paper. Father and Son Banquet The fathers and song of Lakemoor were well represented at the Boy Scout dinner last Saturday evening. Those that I am sure attended are Mr. Kibbe and son, Donald, Mr. Foss and son, H&rold, Mr. Brady and sons, Jim and Terry, Mr. Beahler and Jijnmy Hensen, Jimmy Vanasek and friend, Roy Erickson and sqn, Roy, Mr. Pope and son, Booster and son, Kenneth, 'Mfc. Lubke and son and Mr. Saynor and son. The chicken dinner was enjoyed very much by all. Ii I missed anyone else wiho attended please contact me and 1 will publish the names next week. Founders Day Program This is just a reminder to you of the Founders Day program taking place Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in the fire house. Due to this program there will not be a Girl Scout meeting this week but be sure to come on the twenty-fourth. Fun Club • The Fun cTub had their meeting last week at the home of Jenny O'Leary. The club welcomed a new member, Alice Becker. (Birthdays of Jenny O'Leary, Jenny McDermott, Irene Godina and Pat Morrison were celebrated. Happy birthday to all of you girls. Prizes that evening were won by Jenny McDermott, Emma Kunz, Pat Morrison and Lu Bitterman. A mipper was served by the hostess around midnight. Village News People who have filed petitions for the trustee election in April and who are on the "People's Party" ticket are Mrs. Nettie Sarley and Thomas (Ted) Budil. Remember, Feb. 28 is the last day for filing of such petitions. Wednesday evening, the road commission board will meet to set up a program for the motor fuel tax for road improvements. General News We were sorry that Frank Yaeger, brother of Joe, could not attend our dance- Saturday because of an accident Friday When he injured his arm. It was a sad way to end. his. three-week stay with Joe and we hope he will return again soon and attend one of our affairs that Joe always works so hard to help make a success. Joe Gilmore was in a hospital in Chicago this past week but is now staying at his daughter's home in McHenry, recuperating from his illness. Carol Szarek was home this past week and was pleased to have Iher father, Wally, meet her in their new car. Corky Boro is expected home from the service soon. I am sure all his friends will be around to welcome him back. Stella Blades is enjoying a Caribbean cruise while Ray is at home "holding the fort." Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rogers of Lilymoor are vacationing in California for the next few weeks. We nope *hey enjoy themselves and store .up enough warmth and sunshine to last tftiem the remainder of the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry^ Itawell had a wedding anniversary ^ this past wetek.
