On next Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. they wlal receive their trophy. Congratulations to these two youngsters. This ends the Saturday morning games for the children for this year and perhaps next year the children will again be able to compete in this wonderful sport. Thanks to the men and women wlho devoted their Saturday mornings for this goad cause. The trophy was given for high game on that one particular day. Congratulations are also due to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kawell, George Kawell, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mercure, Rosemary, upon their winning of the • Kiwanis club annual merit award. Scene of Accident Lakemoor was the scene of cme of the most tragic accidents of the season last Saturday night. Our police force is to be commended for the wonderful way in which they handled the situation. Ambulances were ordered before the police even reached the scene of the accident. The victims were removed in workmanship manner and traffic handled perfectly. Ladies League Party Just a reminder that Saturday might is the night of the card and bunco ,party sponsored by the Ladies League. Refreshments will be served. Tickets may be obtained from Helen Buchwaiter. House Committee Meeting There will be a house committee meeting Friday night at 9 p.m. in the fire house. AH members are askedl to attend. In Accident Mr. and Mrs. Ail Godina were in an accident on their way home from work Monday night. Their new car was completely (demolished but very luckily the injuries sustained were not too serious. Irene has a slight concussion and bruises arid A1 was just 'bruised. Both of them wish to thank everyone who has been so kind to them since the accident and all the good wishes sure have helped to make Irene have a speedy recovery from t)he accident. Drainage Problem Monday morning the engineer of waterways division of Illinois and Mr. McDermott walked along the Lily Lake drainage to Pistakee Bay and took twenty-two pictures of the condition of the drainage.
