Kazmayer, world traveler, author and publisher, told approximately 1,500 persons at the seventh annual Mental Health Week luncheon in Springfield recently tha/t "Illinois occupies a position of national leadership in meeting the challenge of mental illness." Lt. Gov. John W. Chapman, representing Gov. William G. Stratton presented honor awards .to three employees of the Department of Public Welfare -- Harry' Willis, psychiatric aide at Peoria State hospital ; Curtiss Caby, guard sergeant at Illinois Security hospital, and Mrs. CI eta Murphy, attendant at Dixon State school. Dr. Otto L. Bettag, Illinois director of welfare, .presided at the luncheon, which is sponsored annually by the department and 52 other interested organizations. CUB SCOUTS Pack 361 On Friday, April 29, we had a very impressive graduation exercise for three bojrs. They were Robert Rodde, Carmen Clark and Robert Beckenbaugh. They went into Scout Troop 162. The Apache patrol of Troop 161 again put on a good performance with their Indian costumes. Cub Scouting is a family affair. In order to teach the boys craft and to help them to become worthwhile citizens we need adult leaders.
