July Jamboree Saturday, July 16, is the day to mark in red pencil on your date calendar. Activities and fun for all ages are being planned for the July Jamboree given by the Ladies of the Lake. There Will be games and rides for the youngsters, a bazaar and bake qale for the women and special treats for the adolescent group. Special, entertainment will be put on throughout the evening. Convalescing Ellen Hiiska, 4-year-old daughter of Theresa and Steve Huska, is recovering rapidly from her recent surgery. She was operated on two weeks ago at Highwood hospital, Highland, 111., for removal of a Cyst fom her leg. Fortuneately, at that age, the memory of pain is short and we are happy to report that she .is scampering, around as good as new. Cupid's Arrow Found its mark in the hearts of our lovely Miss Pat Kuhn and her betrothed, Harry Mueller, of the Country Club subdivision. Pat received her beautiful diamond June 2. The young couple have not as yet get a date for their marriage. Defied Holiday Statistics Minnie and Chester DeBoe of Louisville, Ky., were Memorial Day visitors at the home of Marge and Ole Olsen. The DeBoes "ran into" a little difficulty on the trip. Seems as though Chester momentarily fell asleep at the wheel for a fraction of a second. He came to in time to avoid hitting a telephone pole but crashed through a barbed wire fence and ended up in a farmer's fielid. Luckily, neither he nor his wife was injured, but the car looked like a pack of wildcats had gone over it. In honor of Marge Olsen's birthday Monday, May 30, the DeBoes and the Olsens enjoyed dinner in McHenry. First Visit Bob Kantorski was a welcome sight for the holidays. He planed j in Friday night for his first visit home since receiving his new position in Cleveland. He confessed that he hasn't settled down to his diet yet.'
