Mrs. Emitt Roberts and their friends from Woodstock spent the holiday weekend fishing 4n Wisconsin. Mrs. Agnes Crowley and daughter, Mary, Miss Violet Crowley and Bill Mclnnes spent the long weekend at their respective homes On the river. Mr. and Mrs. Clarehce Miller and the Ed Stermer family spent the Memorial Day weekend at the Stermer home in Niesen's subdivision. Roller of Morton visited with her father, Bill Ricks, over Memorial Day. Big Successes Over that same Memorial Day weekend, two planned1 affarrs ehjoyed a huge success. First of all the baseball dance which took place at the Community Club was the scene of a lot of merry-making. The hall was filled to the rafters, so to speak^-Everyone" attending enjoyed the good time that was promised. The Blessed Virgin sodality sponsored another of their ever so successful bake sales on the following Sunday morning. The pro* ceeds of this sale vj$nt- to the school building fund. The laities are the members of Hettermann's bowling team. The Kozie family of Elmwood Park spent last weekend at their summer home on the river. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pehn ahd Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hettermann and daughters attended the S perry- Dehn wedding in Chicago last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller and son, David, spent several days over the Mfemoriai Day weekend visiting their son, Pfc. Jim Miller, and wife in Atlanta, Ga. Pfc. There were many parties to honor those of the graduating classes either Friday or Sunday. One of the biggest parties was held in the Commlinity Club hall, where about 500 guests gathered to extend their congratulations to the respective graduates.
