Lend Uq.de Sam Your Dollars COOKS CORNER By Marie Schaettgen There are so many ways 'to prepare noodles that one could give noodle recipes ad-infinitum. We once served a sort of noodle pancake which we liked very much and have tried many times' with variations. It makes an easy and nourishing luncheon main dish or may be substituted for potatoes. i/i lb. very fine noodles 2 tbsp. butter 2 eggs, slightly beaten Salt and pepper For variation try these additions (one at a time). chopped boiled ham Finely chopped onion Gratfed American cheese Boil noodles until done. Drain and place in mixing^ bowl. Add seasoning and slightly beaten eggs. Mix thoroughly. Heat butter in 8- or 9-inch skillet. Pour in noodle mixture and spread out over entire pan. Cook until brown on under side, ttirn and brown other side: Remove to platter and serve immediately. For variety, add one of above, ham, cheese or onion, before adding eggs. Cook in same manner. Son Of Bay Residents Recovers From Surgery Ronald Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jensen of La- Grange and Pistakee Bay, underwent surgery at Memorial hospital while home on vacation the past two weeks from his work in New York City. After spending his service years in Germany, Mr. Jensen resumed college studies at the University of Mexico and later at the Institute of Foreign Trades, Phoenix, Ariz. The Chase National Bank of New York contacted him there and employed him to instruct in foreign banking. • „ ^ Shortly after returning to New York City, he will take up a post in Havana, Cuba, for an eighteen-month period. The meeting, attended by 120 members and guests, was held at Westwood school, Woodstock, at 1 o'clock. Mrs. Peter Schuler, Harvard, Wlil continue as county president, to complete her two-year term.
