Two seasons, back they won their tourney at Capron and this year we are hoping for a repeat performance in this widely known tournament. A few of the players who will see action this season are; foijri. Harris,Don Buchert, Dave Popenhagen, Dennis Ehorn. Zephyrs vs. Beloit Sunday Sunday night marks the opening of the- home season for the Richmond Zephyrs basketball season. The opponent .will be one of the strongest independent squads in the state of Wisconsin. We are hoping the Zephyrs will be able to play one of their better games, against this strong team. The Pop House has on their roster two former Zephyrs in Sonny Katzariberg and Bill Watson, but this year the Zephyrs have two new players to take their places and they are Gordon Tebbetts and Ron May. Tebbetts is a former Hebron Green Giant and also played pro ball with the famous House of David team so Gordie will work in nicely with the Zephyr plans. Ron May, a six-foot-six giant, is a rookie as far as semi-pro ball goes, but having two years of high school experience under the guidance of Cliff Fulttma}) the McHenry high school, will also be a big help to the local squad. Other members of the team are Dave Nickols, Russ Rudolph, Ed Winn, D. Olson, R. Olson, Ned Morgensen,, Wayne Spooner, Jim Judson, Earl Miller, Jackie Schmidt, Don Tiiton, H. Miller and Halstead. There will be two games Sunday night, the first will start at 7:30 and the big Zephyr-Pop House game will be started by 9 o'clock. Especially for • Pet Owners ..
