Mrs. A1 Gort, Adele's mother, of Gas Company's Records Broken In Cold Wave Northern Illinois Gas company's send-out records were broken on successive days during last week's cold wave. The previous high of 355,173400 cubic feet of gas, established last Jan. 27, first was eclipsed Nov. 28 when the maximum use reached 361,000,000 cubic feet, and then again the following day (Nov. 29) as the company's maximum noon-to-noon send-out totalled approximately 369,300,000 cubic feet.' - Marvin Chandler, president of Northern Illinois Gas,, said it was necessary to augment the company's pipeline supply and other „ peak shaving operations with about 33,500,000 cubic feet of natural gas from the Herscher underground storage field during the first 24-hour period and approximately 34,500,000 cubic feet the second. \ x *•* v. Just take a plain snowball of plastic foam, about 6 inches in diameter, and cover it very tightlv with glue. Use one of the special plastic foam glues available in all variety stdre8. To add sparkle, sprinkle with glitter in green or silver atad allow to dry for a few minutes. Then tap the .ball sharply to remove excesB glitter.
