However, it's too bad that we must also have vandalism in the community. Over this last weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morrison and the Misses Jessie and Olive Corbett found about two dozen lights were missing from their outdoor trees. The village has not had anything like this happen in & previous years and let us all do * our best in stopping this rude trick. Village News The automobile vehicle stickers and dog tags „will be on sale starting Jan. 1, 1966. About Jan. 15, the mail system through Lakemoor will be changed from Route 5 to house numbers and names of streets. A reminder to keep your cars off the road for snow plows to get through in case of a snowstorm. The president again requests that dogs be tied or fenced in. Thjis week Ghuckie Zabroski has •been bitten by a dog. If owners of dogs running loose do not correct this, drastic ' measures will have to be taken. There have been several children bitten by dogs in the last few months. . Ladles League The Lily Lake Ladies League held their annual Christmas dinner at the Vogue. A very fine dinner of fried chicken with many trimmings was enjoyed by the members, their husbands and friends. After the dinner, the party moved to the fire department community house for a grab-bag, cards and bynco, with table pri2es. Cake and coffee was served by the officers, later in the evening. Girl Scouts The training course for. Girl Scout 'leaders was completed on Dec. 7. There will be one more meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 4, to brush up on games and songs. The Girl Scouts will have a Christmas party at their Dec. 22 meeting. After the meeting the leaders and girls will go caroling through the village. Bitterm&n and Mrs. Philip Kibbe as co-leaders in the Brownie group beginning in January. P.TA The Lily Lake P.T.A. will hold a Christmas party for ttfe children in the school at Lilymoor on' Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m. Parents are "invited and donations of cookies will be appreciated. Fire Department Flease "continue saving your newspapers. There will be a pick-up in the near future. Auxiliary The Christmas party for the children of Lakemoor, 12 years and under, will be held this Simday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. On Sun- £ay, Dec. 11, tickets were given to the children for the party. Children must have a ticket to be able to attend. For further information please contact Jen O'Leary, chairman of the party. Thursday Socials The Thursday night socials are beiiig held at Wally's Oasis every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is-welcome to attend. Brownies The Brownies will have t'heir Christmas party at their Dec. 20 meeting. They will enjoy cookies, ice cream and a grab-bag. There will not be any meeting of. the Brownies during the holidays. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Pat Morrison, the Brownie leader, will welcome Mrs. Frank McHenty Bible Church Final rehearsals for. the Christmas program is to be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. at the Masonic hall. The Christmas program will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, the B.C. Teens will have a rehearsal and after rehearsal will trim the tree and have refreshments. On Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., the B.C. 'Teens will be out singing Christmas carols. Later in the tevening they will have refreshments at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Swenh in Mc- Henry. given very high hopes of having Chipper home for Christmas to stay. Chipper is feeling his very best since the accident. Harry Cooper, formerly off Lakemoor, has been ill and feeling better. He now livs at 8124 N. Lowell avenue, Skokie, and would appreciate hearing from friends and neighbors. Henry Parratorre, Jr., was very ill for a few days last week and is still recuperating. Jimmy Marsh underwent surgery at Memorial hospital • on Thursday, Dec. 8, and is now at home. A correction -- It was Harry Gannon and not Mrs. Gartnon Who has been ill for several weeks at Memorial hospital and is now recuperating at home. Donna Brown, Bernice Tushkowski. Bill Willard, Jean and Jane Blake, Mary Ann SwsRski, Sally Lubke, Roberta Hollenbach, Kathleen Polinski and Elizabeth Kosup. Mac and Jen McDermott spent a day at Champaign to see the intercollegiate wrestling practice matches. Sonny, their son, was wrestling that day and suffered a fractured toe. • Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wade enjoyed the company of Lawrence Ayers, Arlene's young brother. Mrs. Myron Morrison of Danville will be spending a few days at the home of Mr: and Mrs. Claude McDermott. Speedy Recovery | A speedy recovery is wished for the following people. Cards and letters will be greatly appreci ated. Dick Beahler is ill and will have to recuperate at home until the first of the year. Chipper cynowa underwent his eighth graft this last week. The previous graft was very successful. Ray and Elsie have been Here and Then ' Mr. and Mrs. Walter 13zarek \entertained Steph's brother, Leonard Wasowicz, his wife and family. ' ' Mr. and Mrs. Marty Wrtlblewski and their daughter, Linda, spent all day in Chicago on Tuesday. After having dinner they paid a visit to Marty's sister, Mrs. Grace Christensen. Dorothy's aunt, Mrs. Geiger, of Duck Lake, was baby sitting with little Deborah. This was Dorothy's first outing since the baby. ' On Sunday, Dec. 11, a program was presented by the high School vocal groups held sit the high school. The following children of Lakemoor and Lilymoor were in the program: Buddy Kinnerk, Rosemary Mercure, Terry Brady, UA. Not " enough members Were present at the November meeting to hold an election for president. There will not be any meeting in December. The next meeting will be held on Saturday, Jan/ 21. Mason Contractors B and L Birthdays Dale O'Leary will be 18 years old Saturday, Dec. 17. Gen Kosup had a birthday on Dec. 5. She celebrated it with friends. Clifford Hyatt, Sr., had a birthday on Monday, Dec. 12. He celebrated it with a partycon Saturday, Dec. 10. Mrs. Helen Haines, with her mother, Mrs. Simmons; and Marian Leske spent a wonderful day in Chicago on Tuesday. They bounced , along merrily in Mrs. Haines's 1930 Model T Ford all the way. Jeffrey Kuhlman, son of the Warren Kuhlmans,' has returned home from Memoria| hospital, Woodstock, where the youngster was seriously ill last week. John Mack of Shalimar was dismissed Saturday from Louis Weiss Memorial hospital in Chicago, where he was a medical patient for four days. PUBLIC PULSE LEUKEMIA VICTIM Dear Friends, A few weeks ago many of you read a letter I wrote concerning a very dear friend whose little girl has leukemia. t It is even more difficult for me to write now, as it is obvious that even on her best d^ys she just feels pretty good. This letter is to thank the wonderful people who called, that are willing to give Kathy blood. One kind woman went in, gave Kathy a transfusion, and Kathy was. able to spend Thanksgiving Day at home with her family. Now, I have one more request to make. Here is part of a letter I received from Mrs. Christopher: "Don't know if ril even send cards this year as I don't know what will fcappen Wtween ^ and Xmas.
