The ladies looked so lonely in their dancing frocks. Many handsome gifts were taken home by fortunate individuals. Music for dancing was Ojrnished. Reserve Lieut. Francis Curulewski, who resides in Hunterville Park and whose phone is 2161-J, is in charge of the. organization of said unit. "There are ' vacancies for every grade from private to master sergeant and second lieutenants^ he declared. Young men,, of draft age who are desirous of joining an Army Reserve unit and substituting six months of active service for a two-year draft period are strongly urged to inquire into the new Army Reserve plan. Those of high school age will find it particularly attractive. They may enlist at 17 and then are fissured pf completing their high school education before being called to service. When they are called, they serve only six months of active duty, after which their only obli? gation Is to attend drills'; and J summer camp with their reserve unit for the remainder of their military obligation. Veterans who have desired to retain the benefits of pay, grad retirement points and comradeship but have not had a unlit conyeniently located will hail (Jthe organization of the local unit, says Mr. Curulewski. All men -will receive a day's pay for every two-hour evening drill period they attend. Meetings will be held oiie; night a week.
