The vehicle stickers and dog tags are now ready .lor sale. Fire Department A very big thank you to the fireman from the ladies' auxiliary fbr their wonderfql help on their Christmas party. Auxiliary The volunteer fire department auxiliary held its annua! children's Christmas party on Sunday/ Dec. IS,, at the fire house. It was as fine a success as in previous years. ,A wonderful time was had by the children and parents with entertainment, candy, ice cream, pop, cookies and coffee, arid a gift from Santa Claus. Jen O'Leary and her committee are thanked for their work in making this party so fine. The. next auxiliary meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 8 p.m. at the fire department community .house. A Thank Yon A thank you from the auxiliary to Walter Strassheim for a do- ^ nation of ten dollars toward the children's party. McHenry Bible Church The McHenry Bible church will present a Christmas program on Friday, Dec. 23. at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic hall. Parents of children in the program, please have children at the church at 7:15 p.m. Cub Scouts. On Wednesday, Dec. ' 21, a meeting of Pack 361 will present the parents with Christmas gifts they have made. Den 7 will sing Christmas carols in front of each Cub's home on Friday, Dec. 23, and later will enjoy themselves at a party at Buddy Rogers' home. They will also have another party at their regular meeting on Saturday. | Girl Scouts The Girl Scouts had a-success- 1 ful sale of candy. They have not ( yet* sold their quota, and there will be more candy on sale in about two or" three weeks. The proceeds of G, this sale is to build up their treasury. Mrs. Pope would enjoy meeting and talking with the mothers of the girls, and will welcome them at any of the meetings. Home For Christmas There will be much joy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray CyifSwa over the Christmas weekend. Chipper. will be home for three days. He wishes everyone a happy Christmas, and the cards and letters were vei^ much appreciated. He will go back to undergo one more skin graft. Cleveland Wade is still at Downey hospital. His progress is slow but he is feeling better. He is looking forward to spending two days, at home for Christmas. Entering Hospital Mrs. Earl Dowell of McHenry entered the Illinois Research hospital on Monday, Dec. 19, for an examination. Mrs. Dowell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Wade. Recital Kenneth and Carol Booster were in a recital on Saturday at the McHenry high sch'ffol and on Sunday at the Round Lake high school. ' Fun Club , The Fun club had a Christmas party on Wednesday, pec. 14, at fimma . Kun&s home. The ladies enjoyed a delicious shrimp salad luncheon, played bunco and later exchanged lovely gifts: ^ Pinochle Club A delicious luncheon was served at the home of Mrs. Claire Forbes on Thursday. Prizes were won by Mesdames Dorothy Wrublewski. Irene Leon and Rita Erickson. Staliard, director of the state Department. of' Agriculture. Since the tuberculosis testing work started in 1917, fnore thkn 27,000,000 head of Illinois cattle have been tested, Stanard said.
