Later, the group was served lunch in the school cafeteria. The club will resume weekly practices on Monday, Jan. 9. K- • Mewed Virgin Sodality Party The Blessed Virgin sodality Christmas party was held at St. John's school hall on Dec. 1$, with a pot-luck lunch served at 7 o'clock, followed by Christmas carols sung by members. Santa Claus made his appearance to present each one with a gift. During the evening, Fr. Blitsch spoke a few words to the assembled group, after which cards were played. Winners were Elizabeth Smith, Mary Hettermann, Marie Oeffling, Martha Smith, Celia Thelen, Arlene Oeffling, Rosemary Young and Lu Ann Smith In canasta; Julia Stilling, Helen Thompson, Mary Hiller, Martha (Mrs. Ben) Freund, Olivia Hiller, Lorraine Freund and Eva Schaefer in pinochle] The committee in charge of the evening's entertainment included Eva Schaefer and Rosemary Young. (i Seventy-eight members attended the party. PERSONALS Entertains At Holiday Party Mrs. George Worts entertained at a Christmas party and dinner at her home s^wiay. Enjoying the day were Mr. and Mrs. William Guge, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Belrichard and daughter Elaine, of Elgin, Mr. and/Mrs. Russell McBride and Mr. and Mrs. Oral Roberts of Waukegan and; Mr. and Mrs. William Parsley of Round' Lake, Delta Kappa Gamma Met In Co stal Lake A meeting of Alpha Theta chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma was held at the home of Faith Harrington in ..Crystal Lake one evening last week. Ruth Vestling gave a book review „on "The River Garden of Pure Repose" by Boynton. Gifts were brought foj the women patients at Elgin State hospital. Christmas corsages were also made during the evening and carols were sung. Hostesses were Marcia Hillier. Marie Patton and Faith Harrington. Attending from McHenry were Mary Harvey, Genevieve Knox, Eleanor Foley, Nellie Doherty, Lillian Bolger, Ethel McGee and Dorothy Gibbs. MARRIAGE LICENSB Horst E. Abt of Woodstock and Miss Wally A. Klumbies of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. ISdwin Sherman and son, Gregory, have . returned to their home in Denver, Colo., after spending a week with his mother, Mrs. Laura Sherman, and other relatives here. The Harold Nelson family of DeKalb spent Sunday in the Magnus Nelson home. They are moving in January frofiT DeKalb to Sterling, 111. Walinder were Sunday guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Timms in Chicago. Guests in the Walinder home for the Christmas holidays will be Mr. and Mrs. Robert Belzer and daughter, Chris, of Gaieaburg. The inspiring program contained the Indian story of creation and their version of the 23rd Psalm.
