Li Schoenholtz and Clarence Anglese tell about Edgebrook1, the junior high and the high school'4 guidance plans, respectively. Joseph DahlCh, chairman of this p.m. committee, had first shown a fine, new National Education ^.association film, "Mikp Makes His Mark," the story of a misfit ('who was led to find a happier place in school and home. Discussion followed these fine presentations. Coffee was served by Mrs. H. S. Fike and Mrs. Ben Francke. Other committee members are Dr. H. S. Fike, John Thomas and Ben Francke. It may interest other parents and graduates, as it did those present, to know that guidance in one form or another has been part of the school program for many years and that records for the past thirty-four years have been kept by the junior high. Mr. Ariglese devotes half a„ day per week to specific counseling of those desiring his help on all aspects of school development, as well as choice of ceUege. The eighth-grade test given at the junior high also attempts to locate interest lines to be followed in high school, college and/or career, while long before, personal conferences with the individual parent have given light and help on development and problems from first grade through the fifth. The alert group which attended this session kept up a lively ^ discussion until the meeting had to be adjourned because of the lateness of the hour. The committee announces that the next meeting, to which all parents are invited, will be helo on Thursday, Feb. 9, and the subject is to be "Grouping in the School." Grouping is the division of students Within one grade according to ability . .A iWHSSM© HOME ON PISTAKEE BAT, NEAR McHENRY Home .for the Aged SENILE . . . .
