The Valentine dance given by the fire department will be held this Saturday, Feb. 11, at the firehouse. Get your dancing shoes on and come on out and have fun. About fifteen firemen got together last Sunday and worked all day on the second floor of the firehouse and much was accomplished. The fire department is^J^ateful to them for their help. IStere is much more work to be done to complete the second floor and they will appreciate all the help they can get. Please continue saving your newspapers and Ynagazines. There will be a pickup soon. Heart Fund Volunteers are needed to work 0£fc the Heart Fund drive. The drive is on for a short time only, and will require quite a few Workers. The program began with the Girl Scouts presenting the colors, followed by the pledge to the flag, singing of the national anthem and the Girl Sqput pledge. The children of the first grade put on a very humorous skit about the "Billy Goats Three," and the children of the second grade sang a few songs and danced two numbers. Later a delicious light luncheon was served. The Founders' Day was sponsored by the Lily Lake P.T.A. 'Rid: Girl Scouts y Vacondio entertained on her accordion in the Founders' Cay program. Also in the program were the following girls: Lt. Janyce Bonder; flag bearers, Mary Ann Sossong and Nancy Chadwick; color guards, Dorothy Pope, Betty Shaw, Lynn Dvorak and Rosanne Brzezinski. Addressing a meeting of state traffic safety officials in Springfield last week, the governor outlined his stand on state enforcement by pointing out that the state police have orders to make traffic arrests wherever and whenever violations fire encountered.
