A touch of the flu is keeping us home. Let's hope the boys cfcn get in the swing at Hebron and be ready for the invasion' of Lake Forest Friday night. Lake Forest used a slow, stalltype game early in the season. Against McHenry they swung into a hard press. We know not where the credit lies, but the team has moved up in the standings. Maybe the mixture did it. But, Lake Forest does not have tremendous size on the team. We should do "well enough off the boards. Come what may *we wll! be down at the MCHS gym to pull for our teams to come through. This will be the last' conference game on our home floor so there should be quite a crowd on hand. Next Tuesday night Harvard comes to McHenry for a non-conference game--the final home game of the season. Those of you who saw Harvard fight their way to the finals in the county tournament will remember a tfeam that never lets down. McHenry travels to Zion a week from Friday. That's the last game before regional tournament time. So. It's later than you think. . This season is coming to the end of the trail. Come on you Warriors. A little dash in these remaining games r«Ti snake the season look much better. You have won some tough ones. That Prager man, Herman Kreutzer, really rolled out the barrel or something to knock down 659 pins Thursday night Hestarted off with a 220 game, sandwiched in 193 then lowered the boom with 246. McHenry Warriors travelled to Hebron Tuesday night and won a non-conference basketball game 61 to 45. .. . The score was even in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Warriors started to move ahead and had the situation well in hand from that point. Bernie Schmitt and Zimmerman matched points with 18 each, but McHenry had more scoring punch in their lineup.. > * Foul calls were not too numerous and the. game was decided strictly on field goals. MCHS WARRIORS BLOW CHANCE AND LOSE TO WOODSTOCK 64 TO 51 With the Woodstock Blue Streaks playing without their center (Gray) and minus four reserves from the squad, the McHenry Warriors blew a golden opportunity Friday night in losing a 64 to 51 game on the Woodstock floor. The above players were reported to have missed practice without permission. Woodstock had Pope back in the lineup and a big fellow named Laing made the going rugged for McHenry under the baskets. The Warriors were cold on shots, but Wissel kept them in the game through the first half as they hung in there on the dhort end of a 32- 28 score. McHenry reserves took over most of the last half as the game took on a strong semblance of football play. From a McHenry standpoint, the game was anything but a satisfactory performance.
