That was the word today from Delbert J. Luippold, acting director of the Chicago Revenue district. He urged taxpayers to get to work at -once on their returns if they have not already begun such action. "Preparation of the 1955 return is almost identical with that of 1954's," Mr. Luippold said. "April 16 is the deadline by which" all returns must be filed and tax percentages are still the same as last year's. Taxpayers can still give their government some cooperation by immediate action in filing and paying 1955 taxes. This will help us and we would welcome this action by taxpayers because of our limited personnel and tax handling equipment. , "For most taxpayers Forms 1040A or short form 1040 are sufficient for the preparation and filing of returns. The average taxpayer using these forms Will find it not too difficult to prepare his own return/since the trams themselves and the accompanying instruction booklets mailed twit to taxpayers of 1955 contain complete step-by-step Information. "I urge all taxpayers to make every effort to prepare their own returns unless they have highly complex financial problems, in which case they would find.it a wise course and a sound investment to consult a qualified tax specialist." GAME CODE The Illinois Game Code makes it unlawful to pursue wild birds or animals protected by the code from April 1 through Aug. 15 of every year. The code also provides that raccoon hunting dogs shall not be trained in pursuit of such game between April 1 and Sept. 1. In calling the attention of dog owners and handlers to these provisions of the code, Director Glen D. Palmer of the Department of Conservation pointed out that field trials may be held during these closed periods by getting a permit from his department. Such trials are allowed only during daylight.
