Others who wish to help may call one of these ladies. CARS COLLIDE Cars driven by Harry Christman and Marvin Muleskie collided last Thursday night on the Pistakee Highlands road. Cheistman was driving northeast on the road and Muleskie was going southeast when the crash occurred on a# curve. According to deputy sheriffs, both cars were apparently crowding the centeij line when the collision took place. No one was injured. p.m. at Westwood school, Woodstock. All McHenry county homemakers are invited to attend. Jean Allen will speak on "New Trends in Food and Our Changing Food Habits." The talk.will cover milestones in nutrition and ways in which our eating habits have change^. Looking at the present and future, she will give information on new products on the market and new developments such as electronic cooking and radiation processing of food. Preceding the Jean Allen presentation, Mrs. Leah Schuler, Harvard, county president, will preside at a business session. Included in the business agenda are reports of the activities of the 672 members of the McHenry county Home Bureau during 1955-56. Also, six new officers and directors will be elected to the county executive board. Seventeen of the twenty-five Home Bureau units are in charge of various events- of the day. Hansen took part in the 18th infantry regiment's organization day ceremonies at Fort Riley, Kan., recent lv. Part of the 1st infantry division, the regiment celebrated its ninety-fifth birthday with a parade and athletic competitions. Hansen, a rifl£3Vari 'tff^'the regiment's Company B, entered the Army in August, 1955, and completed basic training at Ft. Carson, Colo. His' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen, live on Route 3, McHenry. Such hear ng will be held on NUMEROUS FRIENDS AT LAST RITES FOR MRS. P. W. SEYL, SR. Last rites were conducted Saturday afternon at 2 o'clock from the Peter M. Justen funeral home for Mrs. Signe A. Seyl. 72, who died at Memorial hospital the evening of July 4. She had been in failing health for several! months. Mrs. Seyl, in her many years as a resident of 154 Country Club drive, had engaged in various charitable activities, chief among them being her interest in the Protestarit Children's home. . She possessed great faith and carried out in each day of living : the ideals which were of such I great importance to her. Many j of her acts of kindness and char- ( ity were not made known even j to her family alnd it was ^only j after her passing that they i realized the extent of her work. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on Sept. 9, 1883. , Survivors include her husband, Peter W. Seyl, Sr., one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bailey, of LaGrange; a son, Peter W. Seyl* Jr., of Crocketts Estates, Ingleside; one brother, Albert Johri- ! son; three sisters, Elvira Claypool of Sarasota, Fla., Hilma Anderson of Moline and Lillian Dorsey of Trenton, N.J,; also four grandchildren. Rev. J. Elliott Corbett officiated at last rites, followed by private interment. Hermann Grimm Hermann Grimm, 89, a sum- j mer resident of Mineral Springs subdivision, died at the Villa Rest home Saturday, July 7. He was a retired leather worker. The body was taken to the George Justen & Son funeral home and then removed to Chicago for last rites. Bishop-elect Carroll, 47, is a native of Chicago and served as secretary for the chancery office of the Chicago archdiocese from 1937 to 1942. He has been secretary at the Apostolic Delegation in Washington since 1942. Bernard Schoenholtz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin L. Schoenholtz of 408 Waukegan road, McHenry, has enlisted in the U.S. Navy for a period of four years. Jack reported into the Armed Forces examining station, Chicago, July 5, for his physical and mental examinations and upon successfully passing was sworn into the Naval service by a commissioned officer to start his Naval career. He will undergo his recruit training at the Great Lakes. Schoenholtz is a graduate of McHenry Community high school, class of 1956. His father was on active duty with the U.S. Navy as a commissioned officer during World War II and upon being separated from service attended college under the GI Bill.
