DAILY PINUPS: Some folks are old at forty, some others young at eighty; it's often how you act your age that npakes the role so weighty. Toddlers yell for lollipops, 'teen-agers yearn for lipstick. Charm is the same in any language; character is the same in every creed. An old error never has erased a new truth. . --Anonymous THOSE TIGERS THE BALL AND BEAT RICHMOND NINE 15-5 There is a game scheduled for next Sunday evening, Aug. 5, at the city ball park, behind the Admiral, between the Pony- League Cards and the girls' softball team. Mrs. Cliff Hyatt and several other women have organized a group of girls for softball. The game scheduled for Sunday is to provide financial help in getting bats and balls for the girls. We can all help by turning out for what should be an interesting game. OUTDOORS By Jack Walsh The Johnsburg Tigers wore their hitting clothes in their game at Richmond last Sunday, pounding out 18 hits to win by a score of 15 to 5. With a 10 to 1 lead at the end of four innings, Klapperich had little trouble in going the distance. A feature of the game was the appearance of Manager RaV Miller as a pinch hitter. Ray hit the ball, but couldn't quite muster up the speed to beat it out. Richmond errors were too much for Richie Miller to overcome. ilohiisburg (15) It. Freund If F. Oeffling If B. Klaus ss L.
