It is necessary to have authoiS^ tation from the regional office tfefore service is started on the flew extensions, but the postihaster shall try to expedite thig phase. We all owe a vote of thanks to the postal department, who ijtave been most cooperative in forking with the board of directors of the LPPOA in making all these mail service improvements possible. LPPOA Board . Meets The board of doctors of the LPPOA met at their regular bimonthly meeting at the Krater home on Tuesday, Sept. 18. All • persons who had expressed an interest in helping to organize fUid work with the' groups were invited to attend this meeting. '• After discussing some of the «irojects in which the youths had nown an interest, - Dr. Leonard Bottari was appointed Director for all youth activity, The chairmen of the various committees should check with him on times and dates so there will be no confliction. V> •, The athletic committee consists of Jerry Rogers, chairman; Dr. Leonard Bottari, Roy Meineke and Tony Rebel. Tony Pintozzi, Lloyd (^Dawson, and A1 Kujak were to fte contacted to see if they would fike. to serve on this committee. Jetta Gleeson was appointed the educational recreational chairman. A big surprise is in storej for all you hep cats who are coming to the Junior Youth club t»arty on. Friday night, Sept. 28. A professional entertainer will be on hand to help keep things rolling. Just think--two and a half hours of solid fun--games, singing, dancing and refreshments. The committee, Mike McEnery, Frank Dawson, Raymond Franklin, Judy Meineke, Sharon Pike and Sandy Laurence, have work"- ed hard to get everything ready. So come on out and meet them and all the others at 7:3Q p.m. at 501 Shore drive. "Good Time Had By All" • The "joint was jumpin" on Friday, the twenty-first, when the LPPOA 'teen club held their first big jam session. The 'teen-agers all had a hilarious time as the evening started off with the ice-breaker dances such as the broom dance, multiple dance and get-acquainted dance. After this, the group went out on their own and finished off the evening with regular dancing and refreshments. The dance was held in the basement of the Bradley home. Mr.. and Mrs. Noel were chaperones for the evening. Complaint Department During this past week, a boat was set free with the anchor lost and Allowed-to float out on the lake. The owners are here only on the weekends so this could have meant one lost boat. Possibly, it could have been an accident, but it's just one more reason why children should not be allowed to play in the boats. Another complaint about the bicycle riders of the community is leaving the bikes on the road by the guard rails over the bridges. It's just as^easy to park them off the road and in doing so . prevent an accident. Since there are any number of empty lots where ball games can be held, there is no reason why they have to be played in .the. road.., A.number of motorists have found this hard on their nerves, competing with the base hits and • home runs. members of the Women's club it their regular monthly meeting to be held Thursday, Oct. 4, 8 £.m. at 504 Shore drive. - The ways and means committee of the Women's club report the bake sale , held this past Saturday was a grand success and they would like to say "thank you" to each and everyone of the contributors and. those who came to buy. x . Those who enjoyed pinning the tail on the donkey were Jeffrey Svitanek, Thomas Przetacznik, Paulette and Jo-Ann Rizzo, Francene Parisi and Josephine Cina. After the games came the tempting ice cream and cake. And of course no birthday is complete without grandma and grandpa so on Sunday Raymond got his second chance to blow out the candles for them. His maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mozzoni, Sr., of Chicago, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Bottari of Chicago and McCullom Lake,.
