Although the movement to promote employment of the physically handicapped has made great strides during the past twelve years, those same years have added heavily to the ranks of the handicapped. Disabling illnesses and accidents, wounds incurred in World War II and Korea,, and the longer life span are steadily adding to the number of disabled men, women and children in t>ur population. Many who have been rehabilitated in the physical sense remain unemployed. Rightfully, however, rehabilitation is incomplete without actual employment. One of America's major economic resources lies in the productive abilities of its workers. To exclude handicapped workers from labor supply would be a waste of manpower potential.
