HIGHWAY CLAIMED MORE LIVES IN '55 THAN KOREAN WAS More Americans died on the highway in 1955 alone than on the battlefield during the entire Korean war! The National Safety council's statistical yearbook, "Accident Facts," shows there were 38,300 traffic deaths in the United States in 1955. Official Defense department records list the battle deaths m the Korean War at 33,629. "We don't for a moment want to imply that the highway is as hazardous as the battlefield," said Ned H. "Few realize the incredible rapidity with which agriculture is approaching complete mechanization." One of the farmer's most pressing needs today, he explained, is guidance in planning and utilizing an adequate farm power center or work shop to help him keep his machinery in tip-top working order. The study reveals the nation's The Ben F Ad On Page 2 Reserve District No. 7 State No. 701660 REPORT OF CONDITION OF McHENRY STATE BANK of McHenry, Illinois, at the close of business September 26, 1856. a State banking institution organized and operating under the backing laws of the State of Illinois and a member of the Federal Heserv© System.
