Western ave., Friday, Man 1, at 1 pm. OBITUARIESl ' ASAHFL STEVENS Asahel Stevens, 80, of Waukegan, died in a Lake county hospital last week Wednesday, Feb. 20. He was born July 12, 1876, a son of the late Chester and Marie Gage Stevens, and spent his early life in McHenry. Mr. Stevens and his late wife had resided in Waukegan for several years, where he was employed, before retirement, by the Cyclone Fence company. His wife, the former Grace Hill of Wauconda, died last March and a son, Gage, died a few years ago. He is survived by a son, Chester, of Waukegan and five daughters, Mrs. Frances Peters of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Grace Hyatt of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Martha Britz and Mrs. Portia Babnick of Waukegan and Mrs. Alsena Liebert of Zion. There are also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 1 o'clock from a Waukegan funeral home, with burial in Woodland cemetery.
