Girl Scouts After a long, long wait, the girl acout troop has been assigned a troop number. They will now be jenown as lone troop No. 5, and in the near future be assigned another number from their syboquay council. The scouts had their investiture ceremony at the cen- .ter last Friday night. It was a very impressive affair. Everyone also enjoyed the entertainment and refreshments. Vrbik- Congratulations to all the scouts and leaders. Wondering why the Brownie meetings have been on the quiet side? It's because the Brownies have become interested in embroidering. The girls don't even want to lay their hoops down long enough to play games. The annual "• girl scout cookie sale begins on March 27. Let's help the girls to make it a success. Money derived from the sale of cookies will be used to help establish camps for our scouts. • Boy Scouts Cub Scouts are being organized for boys eight to eleven. The next meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at the Shermans, Lake Shore and Circle drive. For additional information call either A. Bentz, scoutsmaster, 2471-R; or Mrs. J. Wondering what to wear for Easter? Well, fret no longer. Hie Johnsburg public school P.T.A. is sponsoring a spring fashion show on Sunday, April 7, 1957, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the school auditorium. There will be fashions for the whole family, with some of our local mothers participating as models. There will also be a "crazy hat" contest for all who want to enter, and refreshments will be served. Teenagers T h e highland continentals' meeting is tonight at the center. Business is not the* only item on the agenda. After the business meeting, they will have their "funnite" which will give everyone an opportunity to display his pet project or hobby. The club recently did a wonderful job of collecting for the local red cross drive. Thanks to the teenagers and everyone who contributed. P.T.A. Peloquin recently visited their son at Great Lakes. Jim is in his fourth week of boot camp and has been made battalion master at arms. G. Vanzevern,' governor of district 30 toastmasters international and treasurer of P.H.C.A., recently installed officers for the mainside toastmasters club at Great Lakes and the Swedish glee club 'in Waukegan.
