Please take advantage of your greatest heritage, your right to vote! Gfrl Scout Troop Organized From the Scout troop organizer comes a very special "thank you" as it does from all the scouts. Their cookie sale was more successful than had been anticipated. The profits from the sale in this district will be put towards the much needed outdoor camping equipment for the girls. Your help in this sale was appreciated so very much. Mrs. Morrison tells me that she intends to go house to housed if need be, to ;try and recruit new adult leaders for the scouts. She plans to start as soon a? the ^yeather is permissible as the growing need for leaders evident by the increasing number of girls, wishing to become active in scouting. A plan for a new Brownie troop in the fall is underway and already there are $er. girls' nameS On the waiting BSt. The Brownie age requisite js seven years. However, unless more leaders can be recruited there will be no xiew troops. The present fgtroop is now at, capacity. A special training course >&ill be available this summer, at which time any party interested may attend. To be a leader, one needs only to be interested in scouting and must be 21 years or older. Assistant leaders' age is 18. March 26, at which time plans were put in motion regarding thfe Daughter tea. The tea will be held the afternoon of May 26, at 3 p.m. Lone Troop No S The Lone troop No; 3 is in the midst of making posters for its Sponsors, the L.I,A. The posters being prepared are in regard to the forthcoming card and bunco party to be held on May 26 by the association.. This is expected to take some \im^ for the girls to complete and is definitely a, project ;of skill. "The troop is planning to show a film on April 15 by Walt Disney. The film promises to be of an extremely educational nature regarding the way of life, done entirely in cartoon form. Troop number three has invited troop number one to the showing on that date, Mrs. Marcella Foss, registered nurse, will be present to lead a discussion on the film and to answer any questions which any of the girls may raise.
