Before Margaret opened her gifts, games were-enjoyed by the guests and, everyone drew names from a hat. ~Mrs. Mullen served the girls with ice cream and candy umbrellas, while Margaret .sfoed her large, decorated, eleventh birthday cake. The Pox / Christina, Cynthia and Earel Belford \Vere confined to their homes, but not their beds, this past week following a triple siege with the chicken pox. This is in keeping- with the theory at our house that it is best if such "inevitables" are contended with in the pre-stfiool child. Resident\j£hysician in the Belford home and our local physician concur that contrary to popular belief, young babies do get the chicken pox. Our Christina of three months has a fine case, but seems unperturbed, while the time required to dispel the discomfort of the older two children is probably reducing the amount of this week's Lilymoor copy.
