SHOP AT HOME y* --_i : •• GENE FREUND AND DENNY LITWIN HURL NO-HIT LEGION GAME Gene Freund and Dehny Litwin combined to pitch no-hit ball at Harvard Wednesday evening as the McHenry Junior Legion baseball team downed the home team 5-1. With McHenry leading 1-0 in the third, Gene lost his control, walking the bases full. Ljitwin came in and after giving up a run. on an error was invincible thereafter. Gene Freund drove in Ron Smith with McHenry's first run in the third. In the sixth Matt Eichinger and Denny Litwin walked and both scored on Don Bentz's double when the relay went wild. In the seventh, Jack Schaefer walked, Gehe Freund was safe when Harvard attempted a forceout on his bunt, Matt Eichinger beat out a bunt, Litwin singled to right and Don1 Bentz hit a sacrifice fly. Some poor base, running and some strategy that backfired kept the game close as McHenry had three runners cut down at the plate.
