Garrity, fireman apprentice, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Garrity of the village of SunYiVside, will visit Seattle, Wash., from Aug. 6 to 12 aboard the submarine tender JJSS Nereus. One of 22 U. S. Navy ships scheduled to. visit the Northewestern port for the annual Sea Fair, the Nereus will be open to the public during her stay. The Sea Fair is a 10-day pageant of spectator and participation entertainment designed to point out the Puget Sound area as one of the boating capitals of the world. Pvt. Richard D. Hansen recently was graduated from the eightweek administration school at Fort Chaffee, Ark. He received instruction in typing, filing and Army clerical procedures. Hansen, son of Mrs. Adeline Turner, 104 Clearview, McHenry. attended Lakeview High School Chicago. Army Pvt. James E. Boger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Boger, recently began six months of active military training under the Reserve Forces Act program at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. The 18- year-old soldier was graduated from McHenry high school this year.
