Rev. Carl Lobitz of Zion Lutheran church officiated at the nuptial rite. The couple will reside at 104 John street. Baby Shower Honors Mesdames Fenske, Peterson Guests of honor at a surprise baby shower held last Tuesday at the Arthur Fenske home on Fox street were Mrs. Arthur Feriske, Jr., and Mrs. Glen Peterson. Very clever pink, blue and white baby rattle corsages were presented to them./:; - . An evening of games was enjoyed and delicious refreshments; were served. Kay Ann Mikota Observes Birthday Kay Ann Mikota, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mikota, celebrated her seventh birthday anniversary last Monday with a party attended by many of her friends. Tell Engagement Of Gloria Hansler Mrs. Grover Kemson of Fox Lake announce the engagement approaching marriage of her daughter, Gloria Hansler, to Louis Scholz of Pistaqua Heights: Mr. Scholb is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Scholz of Manton, Mich. The wedding will take place early in September. Shower Honors Lorraine Wollak A surprise miscellaneous shower given Aug. 15 at the home of Miss Delores Wollak at Lakemoor honored her sister, Miss Lorraine Wollak. About twenty guests were present to enjoy the party, given in a room attractively decorated with white and silver bells, with a pretty sprinkling can over the gift table. A buffet lunch was served, the centerpiece being a beautiful cake bearing the words "Congratulations." Many lovely gifts were received by the bride-to-be. Miss Wollak's marriage to Ray Deskis of McCullom Lake will be a social event of October. Miss Geong'ianna Donahue of Huntley and Roy Deady of Chicago were weekend guests of Genevieve and Martin Knox. Monday callers were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reutell and son of Chicago. Karls, is stationed at Fort Sheridan. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Afeld announce the birth of an 8% lb. son, born Aug. 18. He has been named Mark Steven. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Ekstrom of Bartlett (she is the former Mary Lou Stoffel) are the parents of a daughter, Karen Marie, born at St. Joseph's hospital, Elgin, Aug. 16. The Ekstroms have two other girls and two boys. The Louis Stoffels of McHenry are the maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. George Minter are the parents of a son, born Aug. 16 at Memorial hospital.
