Betty Hettenoann Christmas Doings liist Wednesday evening, found a record tfirnout of some 99 persons congregated, at the community club hall to participate in the annual Christian Mother C h r i s t m a s g a t h e r i n g . F a t h e r Blitsch, our good Sisters and all the ladies present on this particular evening enjoyed the delicious array of food on the beautifully decorated serving table. Following the pot luck supper, tjie group joined in the singing of . Christmas carols. Due to the extreme cold, good old Santa Claus Was unable to put in' his yearly appearance so the sodality officers took over the distribution of the gifts. We are quite sure everyone was well satisfied with tneir exchange gifts, "the officers assisted our Sisters Jn carrying their great, abundance of gifts ; which accumulated through the . evening. We are looking forward to next season's party with great anticipation. Bowling Date The lady Foresters have set Jan. 8 as their next afternoon to bowl. Why not come out and join the ladies in an enjoyable afternoon of fun and relaxing exercise. The starting time is' 1:30 sharp so come on over and join in on the fun. * Carrying through the ChriStmast spirit in great style was the group which gathered at the community club on Sunday evening for their second annual Christ- . majs party. The members of the Jalt-Anna Heights association and their families enjoyed a most delicious beef and ham supper prepared by the committee in charge. The subdivision children were kept amused with movies and participating in games prepared by another committee. The grown lips even joined in on some of the ^rize winning games while the on-lookers enjoyed a good laugh or two. The presence of Santa Claus. made the day complete for all the children as they eagerly awaited his distribution of gifts and stockings loaded with candy. Still another Christmas party Coming up is t6 take place next Sunday afternoon at 1:30 In the community club hall. The Juvenile girl Foresters are asked to bring an exchange gift of 25c up to and including seventh grade and a 50c exchange gift for the ^ighth graders and over. This year the girls will not hqve to bring a dish to pass. Sandwiches will he prepared and sold* by the committee. So if you young girls would like to enjoy a little preholiday fun, be sure to attend the festivities next Sunday, afternoon. Home for the Holiday* . Susan Pitzen and Carol Ann Stilling botJk of St. Coletta's school are among many who have come home for the holidays. The pitzens travelled to Jefferson, Wis. last Sunday to watch their daughter take part in the school's annual Christmas play. Carol Ann made the return trip with them to spend the holiday season with her grandmother, Mrs. Helen Hettermann. Happy Birthday Corner Happy returns of the day to" Mary Lou Wakitsch who spent a very different natal day on Dec. 14. Mary contracted the mumps and spent her fourteenth birthday in bed. Mrs. Helen Hettermann will be seventy years young on Dec. 19. Happy Birthday to these two "young" women. • . .
