It is little children everywhere at Christmas time. It's the look of awe in. their eyes as they look into the face of Santa Claus and that different look of adoration as they view the baby Jesus and the nativity scene. It is the miracle of their simple faith and belief in Santk Claus and in God. fciVhere is the Christmas spirit? It is too bad that grown-ups don't always take the time to look for it or jUst to see it when it is before us. While sight-seeing with my children downtown recently we saw people rushing about, shoving and never stopping to look around them for the Christmas spirit, - Many became irritated whdh some small child ^tappet} in the" middle of the aisle to gaze up at some sparkly decorations about the store or pushed to the front to vieW the store window. ,v; ; It is too bad that some of us grow so old so that we forget what it is to be a chiid at Christmastime. For after alL . that's what Christmas is for. For that is the one time when we can have the simple honest faith in things like Santa Claus and the Christ child and all the wonderful things that their coming brings. Ihope that maybe this year each one of us will try. to forget about some of the work and i worry, the rush and expense of Christmas time long enough to see the world and Christmas through eyes of a child again, and to see what a wonderful thing the Christmas Sgpit .and its message is.
