Pt^e Tett I11|1|;®B Johntburg "fr by Betty Hettermann On Monday evening March 24, about 55 members of St. John's P.T.A. met in the community club hall. The meeting progressed following the opening prayer offered by the vicepresident.. Various subjects were discussed among which was the need for additional volly ball nets and poles so more , children can participate at one time. The motion was „made and favored for the P.T.- A. to finance the purchase of the additional sports equipment. Also brought up at this time was the need for the children to get their lunch slips in by the appointed time. Some of the slips have been returned as late as the morning of the hot lunch which makes it most difficult for the committee to fill these orders. Another reminder to the mothers who have their children buy their lunch on these particular days - please check to make sure they have the correct amount of money for the food they order. Some envelopes have been short in the past so be sure to check this before your child turns in the order. The P.T.A. president Elsida Fichs, called for the nominations for new officers at this time. The nominating committee submitted its list ob names for approval of the members. Newly elected into officii were: Catherine Fredericks, \presi dent replacing Mrs. Fuch, Streich, Vice-president, replac- • ing Mrs. Fredericks, Mary Hettermann r e t a i l e d her office as treasurer for another year. Following the close of this meeting a colored movie was shown on the functions of the heart The next meeting of St. John's P.T.A. will take place in the Community Club hall on May 26.
