Plans were made' for future events at(this meeting. Next on the agenda is a roller skating party to be held Friday, April 25. The club treasury will pay half of each member's admission charge. ' A game party and dance is being planned for May 30. MembenL will be cultivating new idea^Jfor party games to make this the best planned party and dance put on by the* club since its ^organization. We will christen the summer vacation with a .picnic to be held at Lajce Geneva, Saturday, June -M, and will continue our summer festivities with a hay ride scheduled foithe first part of July. Brownie News The Brownies met at Dot Erbin's house for their last meeting. At this meeting the girls carved different figures from ivory soap. The Brownies and Girl Scouts have. an important event coming up this week. It will be their annual cookie sale, starting April 16. These cookies are not only delicious, but they are for a worthy cause. Cub Scout» The Cub Scouts held their pack meeting Monday, April 14, at the Community center. Vernon Elder and his family of Philadelphia,. were overnight guests of the Haeflingen*. Mrs. Anna Cohrs. flew to New York Wednesday to visit with her son who resides on Long Island. Bob and Gisela-Heilgeist had a night on the town Friday. They went "Wining," dining and dancing in Chicago. . Carla and Jimmy Ba^es enjoyed Sunday afternbon along with company for, dinner. It was really a family affair, the quests being Jimmy's mother, Mrs. Bales of Chicago, and Carla's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Andrew of . Fox Lake. The Torh Masons had company last week. Their overnight guests were Tom's brother Bob, his wife Terry, and their five children^ Need any beds, Lois? Jeff Novotny had another short vacation with his grandparents, Mr; and Mrs. Linden of Chicago. He spent Easter with them and his cousin Mark. John and Ginny Emmerich entertained Ginny's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Krutz over the weekend. We also want to wish a belated birthday to Mrs. Haddock4 She had planned to have her grandchildren at her house for a short vacation but the trip had to be postponed because they came down with the measles. We hope that by the end of this month all the Hurckes boys will be over the chicken pox. Little Randy Jackson also has the chicken pox. Marge and Bill Moreth left for Hot Springs, Ark. Little Georgie VanZevern has • been a pretty sick little boy lately. Tonsil trouble and a headache has kept him in quite a bit. Marilyn and Bob VanZevern had a little explosion in their furnace. It blew the lid off the furnace and scattered soot all over the house. We are very sorby tb hear that Kay Sielisch had to be taken to the hospital Easter Sunday. It was necessary for her to have an operation Monday afternoon. We ho^t by the time we read this that she is home and feeling a lot better. Sea Scout News\ The Sea Scouts will have a camp-out at Woodstock this weekend. They will be" there from Saturday to late Sunday afternoon^ The- boys are required to carry full individual packs. This means they have to carry enough food and equipment for two days, for there will be no more supplies: They will be required to cook four meals over an open fire, Satui-day - lunch and dinner, and Sunday - breakfast and dinner. This camp-out is for goo| ground training. Ajfril 16 is the evening the scouts have planned an, eveni n g f o r t h e i r p a r e n t s . T h i s Explorer show will be held at Johnsburg school. This program will include scouting, what they do, and what their prospects are. Films of Camp P h i l m o n t , C o l o . , - t h e Boy Scouts cf America ranch, will also be shown. On May 3 and 4, the Sea Scouts will attend a Comp-oree in Walton Woods; Marengo. The scouts earned their Polar Badges for planning this camp-out. They will discuss "outdoor safety program" for the district for this year. This will include camping, boating, and safety on the road. Bob Messel, Seaman apprentice scout is now planning a round robin eribbage tournament for the community,, to be held in the Community center. So eribbage fans, start practicing!
