WOMAN'S CLUB fir CLOSES SEASON > AT MAY LUNCHEON -iie • by Marie Schaettgen The fashion show is now a page in the history of-the : McHenry Womans' club. It; was a huge success and we think everyone enjoyed it, even the girls who rushed back and forth serving the cake and coffee. May is the month when we must say goodbye for a while* to some of our Woman's Club friends, because May is the time for our last meeting; until September. This final meeting of the. season will be on May 9 at 1 p.m. It will be a luncheon . meeting for members andS guests. The food will be pre-f pared by the ladies of the' American Legion, who have a > r e p u t a t i o n f o r s e r v i n g v e r y5 f i n e f o o d . The m e e t i n g w i l l be held at the American Legion home, where the luncheon is served. 'Reserve this date on your calendar for this occasion and we will tell. you more about it next week. Hie club wishes to thank all those who participated in the fashion show and of courseall who attended, without whom there could be no show.^ The Woman's Club uses any funds raised in this way to further its many philanthropic activities throughout the year.
