CLUB SPONSORS t APPEARANCE OFFLORAL EXPERT . ~ 1 Gardeners^ and homemakers planning their spring program of hduse and grounds beautification will get additional inspiraton from the appearance of Ruth Emerson Kistner, in-; ternationally recognized ' authority on flower arrangement, at the VFW hall in McHenry on Friday, May 2, at 1:30 p.m., under the auspices of the McHenry and Bull Valley Garden clubs. Mrs. Kistner is widely known as a speaker, author, designer and collector, but it is for her arrangements, always done in full view of the audience, that she is knojwn all over the world. She has done weddings and parties for many celebrities, including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Mrs. Bryant Foy. She has also had tremendous success with her home tours, in which a community selects homes to be decorated by Mrs. Kistner and opened for public view, with proceeds used for civic improvement. Her book, "Flower Arranging for, the American Home," written in collaboration with Gladys Taber, is now in its fourth printing.
