Miss Beckwith received many gifts. SET UP WORK . SHOPS FOR LOCAL DEANERY GROUPS The McHenry Deanery Council of Catholic Women heldf a board meeting last week. A delicious dinner was served the attending members at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was opened with a prayer to "Our Lady of Good Counsel" at about 8:20 p.m. by Mrs. LeRoy McCall, the president. Mrs. McCall introduced Mrs. Edward Sliney of Elgin, who is the Rockford Diocesan Organization and Development chairman. The following work shops were set up by Mrs. Sliney; Spiritual Development; Home and School; Rural Life; Organization and Development; Presidents; and Libraries and Literature. These work shops will be in full swing on June 30 at the next McHenry deanery open meeting, which takes place at St. Mary's school hall in McHenry at 7:30 p.m. Printed material was handed to each work shop chairman to help her group accomplish their work. The Christian Mothers of St. Mary's in McHenry, whose president is Mrs. Pauline Adams, will be hostesses on June 30. MARRIAGE LICENSES Michael L. Pate, Chicago, and Barbara L. Demerson, Wonder Lake. REPORT THEFTS The sheriff's office has been investigating the theft of two bicycles and a saddle valued at about $200 from the Northern Pump company, near McCUllom Lake. The bikes were taken from a garage and the saddle, belonging to a herdsman, from a horse barn.® PUBLIC INVITED TO ANNUAL DANCE OF K.C. Frank O'Rourke, the assembly's x fourth annual dinner dance, Saturday, June 14 in Crystal Lake. The gala affair is in honor of the newly elected candidates and their ladies, and in honor of the mayors of the seven towns comprising the assembly. Hanford has graduated as a registered medical technician from the Chicago School for Medical Technicians with a "cum laude" degree.
