The body rested at the Peter ' Justen & Son funeral home til Monday morning, when 'last rites were conducted from a St. John's church, with burial »in the church cemetery. She had made her home with her brother, Harry Christ- Man, in Oeffling's subdivision lor the past six years, Orttel was born Aug. 7, Jikl, in Sabatha, Kan. kuyBesides her brother, she *teaves a son, Fred, Of Delavan, <&• Services were held at 2 o'- Hl^ck Wednesday from the Gfeorge Jqgten & Son funeral home, with private burial. 0 Charles Smith Owen - Charles Smith Owen, 57, of Skokie,. a nativfe Of McHenry, died iri Evanston hospital the night of July 23 following a few months' illness. Mr. Owen was born in McHenry Feb. 21, 1901, the son of the late Lewis and Mattie t Smith Owen. In 1902, the family moved to Cushing, Okla., «d later returned to mak£ eir home in Skokie. Survivors include the widow, Marian; two sons, Charles L. Owen, naval officer instructor, Naval academy, Bainbridge, Md., and Donald Owen, a student at Purdue university, Lafayette, Ind.; two brothers, Edwin M. Oweri of Colorado City, Tex., and Oliver Owen of Lincolnwood. «The body rested at the Havchapel, Skokie, where services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m., followed by burial in ^Vpodlawn cemetery, McHenry.
