Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cammarata, son, Larry, their daughter, son-in-law and family drove to.Armin, Kan. to Joe's home town for a visit. The Cammaratas sure were in for a ^surprise because when they argrived they found the town havging a home-coming week. It =was a wonderful week for all ~of them. 2 ^ . J Pitch-In *§„ The corner neighbors around gthe Williams' home gathered j^there last Saturday for one of "vtheir frequent pitch-ins. We all ^spitch in for the food and refreshments which explains the |pame of the doings. We had =rSome delicious food to eat and ^then „ played games and sat around a huge bonfire and Isang songs. The main event o/l •the evening was the celebration of the , WUlianfe' wedding •anniversary and we had a speC- |ial cake for them plus a gift. *It sure was a surprise to them ?and we all had a wonderful "time. ' - also enjoyed a visit' from from Chicago that I hadn't seen for oyer five years and I sure was pleased to see drive up. yr-v vj#. The Chester Crowley had a houseful over the weeknd. Over twenty-five people turned up. Daughter, Pat, her husband and children, and Pat's in-laws, plus' other relation, had a wonderful time feasting and boating and just visiting. One of the guests brought along his boat and made numerous trips along the river taking the company for rides to enjoy the scenery. It was a nice gesture on his part to entertain the many people with these rides. Wouldn't you know when you have a house full.of company the weather decides to misbehave, because th&t is what happened. Just as they were about to sit down to eat the rains came and they all had to run inside to eat. Despite the downpour a good time was had by all who-were there. Swimming Well we have two members of our householcLwho hold beginners' pins given to them by the Red Cross for passing the instruction given in their lessons at the beach in McHenry. We are very proud of them. All you parents who would like your children to learn hpw to swim the right way should take your children to classes like these because you would be surprised how fast the children learn and how willingly they co-operate with the instructors. The Williams' children missed their daily trek to our beach to swim because they had been bitten by some virus bug, I had been taking little Steve Williams for the Red Cross swiming lessons and when he had just one more lesson to go he couldn't finish because he had fallen off his bike and put a gash in his leg.
