Easter Egg Hunt Again this year on Easter Sunday we will have our annual Easter egg hunt down at the two beaches, and again as usual we are asking for loads of colored eggs. We are asking you to bring all the colored hard boiled eggs to the home of^lrs. Shirley Ozog at 217 MiSdow Lane by Friday or Saturday just before Easter. The hunt itself will start at 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday morning. Further details on this will be printed in a later issue of the paper, such as the ages of the different groups and at what beach they will meet. Honor Roll Vincent Cina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cina, who is at present attending Milliken University in Dedatur, was on the honor roll this period with a 3.3 average. Confirmation Parties Last Sunday evening after being confirmed at. St. Patrick chwch, Josephine Cina was the litw guest of honor at her home with the following aunts, uncles, cousins and friends helping her to celebrate this very beautiful occasion: Mr. an^Mrs. Jos. Valenti and son, Joefc. with Mrs. Valenti acting as tier sponsor, Mr. and Mrs. A. \felenti and their Chihauhau, Happy Birthday . to Peppy Cina who celebrated his sixteenth birthday, getting on the honor roll and receiving his drivers license all in one week. to Laverne Okal who celebrated her over twenty-first birthday on a March 5 by taking a trip to Chicago with her three children on a wing and a prayer because she went in during the terrific rain arid snow storm we had last Thursday morning. to Raymond Jett who celebrated his sixth birthday by blowing out the candles on his cake two or three different times. Esther Cygan and daughter, Lynn, Daisy Krupinski and daughter, Edna, and myself and my daughter, Elaine, walked over real early in the morning with candles on a batch of muffins and had breakfast and then a little later Marge Franklin and her two little girls, Debbie and Dale, came over with a very beautifully decorated birthday cake and we of course all had to sing happy birthday to the already very happy little boy. All in all he had himself quite a day. Oh yes, besides all of us to help him celebrate was his big brother, Butch, who had to be home that day due to a bad cold. to little Gary Hansen who celebrated his birthday on Feb. 25, and then on the twentyeighth of February Denise Bucaro, Debbie and Sharee Holas, Billy and Mary Burns. Lance Kuhns and Carrie Brooks were there to see him blow out all three candles on his beautiful birthday cake. to Del Gerstad who was 6 years old on March 3 and he celebrated his with the children in his class during school hours. and last but not least to Mrs. Dorothy Meineke who ^ays jshe celebrated her twenty - first, birthday on Sunday, March 1. Oh, Dorothy, don't we just wish. Stork Shower A surprise stork shower was held for Mrs. Dorothy Becker on Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Marge Franklin. The table was just loaded with food of all kinds and the centerpiece was a very beautiful tiered cake topped with two little dolls and oh' so delicious. Those who came to shower her with little gifts were Elaine Jett, Lee Glorch, Dorothy Humphreys, Daisy Kurpinski, Jean Glover, Esther Cygan, L e n a A b b i n a n t e , D o r o t h y Glorch and myself. It's A Girl We didn't have the above stork shower a day too soon b cause you see on the fourth of March we had the shower and on the fifth of March Dotty Becker presented her family with a 5 lb. baby girl born at 5:30 a.m.'at the Woodstock hospital. Her brother, Kenny, and big sister, Kathy, are anxiously waiting for mother to bring little Mary Alice home for then! to help take care of. i^. Jar fh "tor Real Busy Week Mrs. Alice Sullivan was sure a busy person last week, what with two confirmations last Sunday at St. Patrick's church, Mary and Mike being confirmed and two birthdays, Mary, age 12, and Joseph, age 3, and then last but not least having her eighth baby on Feb. 26 who was born at the Woodstock hospital and weighed in at 6 lbs. 12^4 ozs. This little lady has been named Ann Cecilia. A Baby Girl As most of Mel and Barbara Malinowski's friends may now know they are the proud parents of a little baby girl 6 months old, Rita Louise. I went over the other morning to see the very beautiful little girl and Barbara was still walking around on a very pretty pink cloud, and I can't say that I quite blame her, because she sure is one of the most adorable little girls I've,.seen in quite some time, what with her pretty blue eyes and reddish hair. Another Confirmation Party Mr. and Mrs. Bucaro held open house for their friends and relatives in honor of Donna and Sandy Bucaro last Sunday on the occasion of their being confirmed at St. Patrick's church.
