Li'tle Carey Fenner came down with a cold and has been in bed for a few days. A case ot chicken pox has put little Ray Lassard out of commission for a few days. foi a long weekend visit with Pat's brother and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. James Geraty, They had a wonderful trip and visit. •.The Borcovan family were dinner guests at the Harley Pohlman residence March 3. Mim Hansen had an unusually busy week entertaining guests. On Wednesday, March 1. Mrs. Bill Aspinall and ner two children came out from Lake Geneva for the afternoon. On Saturday. Mr. and - Mrs. Marshall Hankermeyer and their two children were out to visit with Mim, Lee and the boys. The following Sunday the Hansens had dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Adoiph Kershas and their two daughters. Lalcemoor Club News The girls of the bridge club gathered at Hannah Harner's home for this week's game. Helen Malhes got an all time high score and walked away with that prize. Mim Hansen likes her booby prize and likewise for Pat Kellogg who received the travelling prize. Teen Activities All pre-teen or 'teenagers are welcome to attend the young people's meeting held every Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. in the Alliance Bible church. They always have something interesting on the agenda in the way of good wholesome fun and refreshments. from Chicago to Eastwood Manor on Sunday for an enjoyable visit with Carol, John. On March 5, Peggy Garrelts surprised Rosemary Newlon with a baby shower. Peggyhad Rosemary and the following gals in for lunch: Lois Mc- Cormack, Lois Krebs, Tony Olson, Julie Schmidt, Betty Radner, Dolores Lawrence, Pat Kellogg and Lydia Fenner Rosemary was surprised to find that lunch included some of the most beautiful baby presents to be had. Everyone enjoyed themselves and now we hear tell that Peggy sure can cook. Confirmation Mtichael Sobacki was confirmed Sunday, March 1, at St. Patrick's church in Mc- Henry. His sponsor was his uncle, Tony Sobacki. A party was held afterwards in Michael's honor. Those present to Meet Your Neighbor Ambrose Koerper, his wife, Elberta. and their daughter, Jo Ann, moved to 124 Country Lane on Dec. 18A1958. We want to wish Elberta a belated happy birthday. She celebrated March 1. Ambrose works in Chicago. Elberta s£ys that right now she doesn't have any hobbies. When Ambrose, isn't working he likes to hunt and sometimes golf, but his wifesays that hunting is his first love. Both Koerpers hail from Chicago. The Raymond Salo family took up residence at 202 Eastwood Lane on Nov. 5, 1958. Marilyn and Ray are the proud parents of Debra, who was born June 7, 1951, Lawrence, who was born July 24, 1952 and Thomas, who came along July 10, 1955. Ray is employed as a tree expert in this area. Marilyn says that she doesn't have a hobby right new, but give Ray a fish pole and away he goes Marilyn comes from the big j city, Chicago. Waukegan claims i Ray. i Edward A. Sobacki brought j his family to Eastwood Manor i the last week of October in | 1958. They can now be found j at 134 Manor Lane. Ed and | Alberta have three lovely chil- j dren, Michael, who was ten | years old, Jan. 10, James who j will be seven. August 21, and Bonnie Jean, who was born July 27, 1956. Ed likes to rough house with the Uids, and then he likes to relax with television or cards. Alberta likes to sew and she enjoys outdoor sports. Alberta is a native of Niles and Ed hails from Chicago. The Scouts have the mint or creme cookies and also peanuts for sale this year. Your help in this sale will mean better camping equipment for the Scouts, Turldes Out On Saturday afternoon some of the ladies of the village journeyed to Chicago to bowl in a tournan^nt sponsored by the plant that all are employed at in Crystal Lake. The ladies that made such a good showing } were Mrs. John Sulok, Mrs. J Jen O'Leary, Mrs. Marcella j Goss, Mrs. Lydia Diedrich, Mrs. ; Lorraine Whaples- and Mrs. ; Marge Ehrhardt. Marge had i 10 really do the job up right j when she turkied out to help • the team win the game. After ! the enjoyable time at bowling i the group enjoyed a buffet J luncheon given by the plant ; and then the return back home. ' A very happy but tired gang ! returned home but we all had a day to remember for some i time. Attention We must stress the issue once again about the dogjf that are running loose in the village. PLEASE keep your pets on a leash while exercising him and also keep him tied in your yard. The pets will naturally run at random when turned out on their own, so to save yourselves EGG GRADING SCHOOLS Final sessions of a series of schools on grading of eggs will he held at Peoria and Belleville,, the Illinois Department of Agriculture said last week. Stillman J. Stanard, director of agriculture, said the sixth school will be held at Bradley University in Peoria, March 17 to 20, and the seventh and final school at the Farm Bureau building in Belleville, April 14 to n. • i NEW APPOINTMENT Gov. Frank Tinney entertained members of the births day club at her home on Thursday afternoon. The afternoon's diversion, was cards and a lunch was served by the hostess. Brownie Troop Report Debbie, Thornton, Troop Reporter of Brownie Troop 518, informed me that they have completed their head bands. They also made posters announcing their cookie sale which begins March 9. The girls begin selling their cookies St. Patrick's Party ( On Saturday March 14 the Spring Grove school recreation club will have a St. Patrice's Day roller skating party at McHenry Rink. All those who want to join this party will meet at the school house at 1:30 p.m. and are asked to wear something green. N£ME changed A change in name has been granted from the Chapel Hill Golf club, Inc., tp Chapel £|l11 Country club. Forty Hours Devotion Services at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. were held on Sunday through Tuesday and days of prayer were observed at St. Peter's church as the opening of Forty Hours Devotion was held Sunday morning. .
