Miss Stewart is a graduate of Michigan State university, where she affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega. Mr. Dowell is a senior at Michigan State University. An August wedding is planned by the couple. Dana White Wed In Baltimore Miss Dana Elizabeth White, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Lasch White of Blackstone avenue, Chicago, exchanged nuptial vows with Mr. William Leicht of Cortez. Colo., in Baltimore, Md.. where he is stationed. on March 6. The young couple will make their home in the East. The former Miss White is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Lasch of McHenry. She is well known in this community, where .he spent her summer vacations for many years. Qua intance-McKiel Vows Exchanged On Saturday, March 7, Ethel Quaintance of Johnsburg and Arthur McKiel of Lake Villa were married by Rev. Fr. Lynch at Lake Villa's Prince of Peace church. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Robert McKiel. A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony at Antioch. PERSONALS Church Men's Club Holds Ladies' Night The Methodist Men's club will hold its annual ladies' night on March 18 at 7 p.m. at the McHenrj' Community Methodist church. The affair has become one of the social highlights of the year on the church calendar. It is, in fact, a woman's dream come true, for the men prepare and serve a delicious dinner to their wives, provide entertainment and top it off with a full length feature film. The head chef, Harry Hans, is well known for his unique and tasty cuisine. He will be ably assisted by Frank Gregory and Richard Barrows. It promises to be an evening of fine food, fellowship and fun, so ladies get into your best bib and tucker and sit back to be waited on by the man in your life. THE C. S. TO HONOR ROLL AT TWO UNIVERSITIES Three students from the McHenry , area are listed on the first semester honor roll which was released at Miilikin university in Decatur. In order to qualify for this distinction, a Millikin student must make a grade average of 3.0 or better out of a possible 4.0 (a B average or better). The three are Carl Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Walker of Wonder Lake, who is majoring in engineering; Vincent Cina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Cina, who is majoring in science; and David Fantus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert R. Fantus of Rt. 6. All three are 1958 graduates of M.C.H.S. Zelinda Anne Bennett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bennett. has been named to the dean's list of the University of Illinois college of physical education. "The list is made up of students with a 4.0 (B) averages or above for the fall semester. Sharon Schaefer Christened Sunday Sunday, March 8, was the christening day of Sharon Elizabeth -Scbaefer, infant daughter Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schaefer of McHenry. Father Coakley officiated at the ceremony at St. Patrick's church. Godparents were Mrs. Charles Martin and Harvey Schaefer. A buffet supper was served at the Clarence Schaefer home in honor of the occasion, and guests were the godparents, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Schaefer, Jr., and other friends and relatives including Mr. and Mrs. Peter N. Schaefer, Mrs. Charles Martin and children, Kenneth, Mary and Ray and Barbara Doering. Also present was Sharon's brother, Gary. Robert Nowicki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Nowicki, McHenry, plays the part of Sir Nathaniel in Shakespeare's "Love's Labour^ Lost", which will be presented in the Little Theatre of St. Mary's college, Notre Dame. Ind. He is also stage manager. The play opened March 5 at 8:15 pan. and ran through the eighth; it re-opens March 11, running through March 14. Robert, a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame is studying electrical engineering. WONDER LAKE GIRL TOURS WITH CHOIR Former McHenry Youth Honored Kenneth Larson, former McHenry high school student now attending Reeths-Puffer high in Muskegon, Mich., was chosen boy-of-the-month for maintaining an "A" average and for other school activities, and received a trophy. He would like to be remembered to friends here. His sister, Linda Rae, is a fifth grade student at the Junior high and celebrated her SI IN McHEXHT Miss Judith Wielock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roman Wielock of Wonder Lake, is i currently on tour through the midwest with the Carthage college a-cappella choir. Miss Wielock, a freshman at Carthage, will travel with the choir through a three-state area and return to the college campus on ! March 15. During the ten - day tour, which began March 5, the choir i will visit ten different cities in Illinois. Wisconsin and Iotoa, and sing fourteen concerts. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Wirtz visited in the home of their son, Pfc. John Wirtz, wife and little son, at Fort Smith, Ark., the past week. Mrs. George Sterling, has returned to her home in Chicago after a visit in the home of her daughter, Mrs, Harold Schaber. at McCulloril Lake. The Schabers' new son, born prematurely at Loretto hospital, Chicago last month, is still at the hospital. Mrs. Harriet McClarey and Mrs. Marion Donnelly were among the beauticians from here who attended the Midwest Beauty Trade Convention in Chicago, Monday of last week. Mrs. Christine Miller has returned from a several weeks visit in the home of her son; Arthur, in Monrovia, Calif. Enroute home she visited another son, "Elmer, in New Lennox, 111. Mrs. F. J.
