For the varsity, Mark Vycital played an excellent game despite a bandaged finger and had 20 points on 7 baskets and 6 free throws. Don Bentz scored 18, and Matt Eichinger scored 17 to pace the attack. The rest of the scoring was pretty well balanced. The seniors improved as the game progressed and given a little more time may have pulled it out. The game was a success in that it earned several dollars to be used for a whirlpool and other essential atheltic equipment. Many thanks should be given to the players, cheerleaders, coaches and fans for their fine cooperation at the entire affair. Also, the work1 of referees, Jerry Kalk, and Bill Bolger. is also greatly appreciated as they donated their time and energy for this worthy cause. The entire evening- was a fine climax to this year's vtry successful basketball season. Teammates will select most A meeting of the Mental Health association of McHenry county was held Inst Monday evening in the McHenry hospital annex building, with Judge Ooon<\v of Woodstock presiding. Guests at the meeting were two representatives of the Lake county Mental Health association, who spoke of the work being done within their group. The next local meeting is being planned for Monday, Apr. 6. when a charter will be presented and by-laws accepted. A board of governors will be elected at this time, and committees formed to continue the work of the organization. Presiding at the various sessions was John M. Olin, president of the association. One ui the speakers was Val Christmann, chairman, • who spoke of the three types of clubs--commercial, non-profit and daily fee Lewis Martin, assistant director of the Illinois Conservation department talked on the shooting preserves of the state,, which release quail, pheasants and mallards. Such preserves have been in operation for twenty years in Illinois. He continued to state that the 117 licensed shooting preserves areas in the state have been beneficial to hunters since many of the birds released are never recovered and scatter throughout the area, thus aid^ ing wild life propagation.
