Joey Hoyle, who is only three, required surgery on Friday, but snapping back so well, as youngsters do, was back home by Sunday, good as new. As if that wasn't enough excitement for one weekend, that- morning his new little brother decided to put in an appearance seven weeks ahead of time. Timothy John was born in Woodstock Memorial hospital weighing a tiny 4 lbs. 2 ozs. Dottie had some tall explaining to do to Joey and Mary Beth when she arrived home minus one little baby who is staying at the hospital to put on a little weight. Now that the confusion is over we are happy to report that mother and sons, as well as dad, aunts and uncles and grandparents are doing nicely. these ladies in Ri^umond. An Early Reminder Of the May meeting coming up on the seventh. As you know, our association meetings are now being held at the Johnsburg school. Another Family that really believes in doing things in a big way are the Voights. Patti was the cause of grave concern for Ted and June when it was discovered that she had scarlet fever. Her recovery was a hasty one however, and she is once again back in school. Donnie also had a go at something not too ordinary, an abcess ear, which was no pleasant experience. Philip joined the pill parade with swollen glands, which made the Voight residence resemble a pediatrics ward. Happily, all is well now and they can settle down to a normal existence. Convalescing At home after a short stay in the McHenry hospital, is Mrs. Hertha Zeiger. She will h&ve to take it easy for a while but will soon be up and around again. Home Bureau There were eight of us who went to Richmond for a combined meeting of the Sunnyside and Richmond units. The lesson was given by the home advisor Mrs. Olsen and it was titled "Guiding the Growth of Character" we had some feal good open discussion on the subject and I'm sure we all came away with some good thoughts. Coffee and cake were served and it was a nice ending for a very instructive evening. Oh yes. we played a game that revealed information about each of us so that we were all better acquainted. C e l i n e Schneider won a prize for the largest grin and Carol Niemiec won a prize for the best costume which was her idea of a Roman woman. Refreshments were served and a short business meeting was held. Birthdays Alice Niemiec was nine years old on April 20. and celebrated it on the eighteenth with the girls from her room.
