NURSES MEET At a meeting held in Libertyville Monday evening of this week, members of the newly formed sixteenth district of the Illinois Nurses' association, including Lake and McHenry counties, learned that private nurses in McHenry will have their fees standardized, effective July 1. The action makes local rates the same as those now in effect in Lake county. Miss Nancy Gulczynski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gulczynski, was married to Robert Cormier, son of Mrs. Leah Cormier, at Christ the King church in Wonder Lake Saturday, June 13, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. James Vanderpool performed the double ring ceremony. Given away by her father, the tiny bride was exquisite in a bouffant, hoop skirted full length dress of nylon tulle, made in ruffled tiers of tulle alternating with lace. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Nick D'Andrea of Chicago, sister of the bride, Miss Jo Ann Miller of Wonder Lake and Miss Rosalie Malenowski of Chicago. All three wore ballerina length gowns of mint green lace with matching satin bows. Dianne Demski was junior bridesmaid and Carol Pivovar served as flower girl both of Chicago. William Cormier, brother of the groom, acted as best man, and Winn Davidson of1 Wonder Lake and Carl Poedtke of Chicago were groomsmen. A reception for 100 guests was held at the McHenry County club immediately following the ceremony. The bride and groom left for New Orleans for a two-week honeymoon. Upon their return they will live in the home they have bought in Wonder Center. Both are graduates of McHenry high school, Nancy in 1957 and Bob in 1956. Davidson of Wonder Lake, in a heautjful marriage ceremony wnich took place last Saturday, June 20, at the Community Methodist church in McHenry. R e v. George W. Martin officiated^'at the 2 o'clock service. Soloist for the occasion was Mrs. Donald Barger, who sang "Because". The church was attractively decorated for the occasion with bouquets of white and pink flowers. Miss Marticke was lovely in a gown of white nylon dotted Swiss over white taffeta,'with white taffeta cummerbund an'l bow in back. Her cascade bouquet was fashioned of white roses, white stephanotis and lilies of the valley, centered with a white orchid. She was attended by her sister, Carol Jepsen, as. matron of honor and by Patricia Dykema of Chicago and Sue Stinespring of M c H e n r y. friends, as bridesmaids. They wore street length dresses of white dotted Swiss over sky blue taffeta, with blue cummerbunds and bows in back. They carried cascade bouquets of pink roses and blue baby mums, Mrs. Jepsen's bouquet enhanced by "white stephanotis. John S. Davidson of Wilmette, brother of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were William Wright and Albert Horn, both of Wonder Lake. Mrs. Marticke selected a dress of light turquo^e silk chiffon, with matching accessories. Mrs. Davidson wore a navy blue dress and white accessories. A reception followed the ceremony at the McHenry Country club at 3 o'clock for 100 guests. The newlyweds are enjoying a wedding trip to Miami, Fla., and upon their return will reside at 945 N. Chicago avenue, Evanston. The bride is a graduate of the McHenry high school with the class of 1957, attended Northwestern university, and is employed as a secretary. They were attired similarly in gowns .of Dior blue, of silk organza over taffeta, ballerina length, with Empire waistline. Their hats were of matching color. Dick Wisnefski of Union Grove served as best man and groomsmen were Jeddy Wagner of Brighton and CMck Itzin of Burlington. Mrs. Schmitt--chose--for--her daughter's wedding a Schiffli embroidered beige and brown dress, with which she wore white accessories and a white orchid corsage. Mrs. Buss wore a pale blue embroidered organdy dress, matching petal hat and a white orchid. Dinner was served to forty guests at Johnsburg Memorial hall at 12:30 o'clock. At 5:30, 350 friends and relatives gathered there for an evening reception. The couple left later on a two-week trip North, after which they will reside at Burlington, Wis. The bride graduated in 1954 from McHenry high school and in 1958 from Alverno coll£ :e. She is an elementary school teacher. The bridegroom is a 1952 graduate of the local high school and is an auto salesman.
