Don gave a single to Jack Schaefer in the eighth, a triple to Denny Freund in the ninth, and a single to Chuck Olson in the ninth. Plauck had a no-hitter for seven and twothirds innings. Gene Freund also pitched a fine ball game and, except for a bad first inning, was untouchable. Dundee scored two runs in the first on two triples and a single. They scored their third run in the third on two walks and a er'ror. The Shamrocks scored their only run in the ninth when Denny Freund lead off with a triple and scored on a single by Chuck Olson. Don Bentz hit a line shot down first base which had two or three bases written all over it but Duvel made a fine one hand catch on it and doubled Olson off first. The Tigers scored a quick run in the first on Wally Frett's triple to right field. He scored on Lloyd Freund's sacrifice fly. After adding another run in the fourth, Don Peacock held the Tigers until the eighth when they put the game on ice with five runs. Britz led off with a single, Huff fanned and Wally Frett and Lloyd 'Freund each hit safely, with Britz scoring. Dick Hiller smashed a double to left center scoring Frett and Freund. Sonny Miller was safe on a fielder's choice stole second and after Oeffling fanned, both runners scored on Madden's single. Huemann struck out to end the inning. Terry Britz pitched very good ball in allowing no runs on si?c hits. He walked only two batters and struck out eleven. eight innings by the L. C. Christensen team of Racine.
