Thursday, July 9, 1959 THE McHENRY PLAINDEALER Page Eleven MOOSE LODGE WOMEN OF THE MOOSE I have never enjoyed an evening so much as I did our rifth Tuesday, which is always a jcAt, open meeting and a pot- IUCK supper. Mabel Thomas, our outgoing senior regent, opened the meeting and then turned the rest of the program over to Marge Fernstrom, who was narrator for our little skit which was called "A' Proxy Wedding." The flower girls were Ann Rodenkirch and Eleanor Brusso, the ring bearers (I should them brats) were Imogene Grist and Doris Low, the mother, Fay Young, father, Lona Brever, maid of honor, Nancy Bowman, best man, Winona Hutton, giving the bride away, Mabel Thomas, getting rid of the groom, Ethel Hagberg, groom, Bertha Jager, bride, Hazel Struwe, pianist, Eunice Tobey and last but not least the preacher, yours truly. was a lot of fun, nobody stuck to the script and the flower girls and ring bearers played and carried on- the whole time which made for a yery funny wedding and •* all dostumes were just as funny. ' After the skit Nancy Bowman, our out-going junior graduate regent, presented Mabel I'homas with a very lovely buek of all of the events of the yCTtr. Most of the co-workers had a hand in getting it together. Chuck Fernstrom did a very lovely job of etching a heart on the cover as well as the inscriptions. Herman Ehlert, who is a pilgrim from Crystal Lake, gave a short speech and told us that to his knowledge we were the only Chapter and Lodge that had a fifth Tuesday joint meeting and wish that every Lodge would do the same, as it makes lor a closer relationship between the men and women. Ruth Martin, past deputy grand regent, also gave a short talk and Dick Jager and Hazel Struwe, our newly elected senior regent, said a few words. Guests from Crystal Lake were Pilgrim Ehlert and his wife, Clara, Evelyn Kingsley, Marge Ralsow, Claire Boyle, Mary Jeschke, Jean Gabriel, Lucille Ramsonen, Mae Mann, Imogene Ruckstuhl, Earl and Virginia Thohas, Ruth Martin from Batavia and Evelyn Cites from St. Charles and Andreas Kovval The Loyal Order attending were Everett Hutton, Dick Jager, John L. Grist, Roy j Tobey, William Struwe, John B. Grist. Oliver Hodges, Hilary Rodenkirch, Joseph Mahoncy, George Biggs, Dale Thomas and Pa Patterson. The Women of the Moose attending were i Alyee Kowal. Terri Grist, Winona Hutton, Bertha Jager, Eleanor Brusso, Ethel Hagberg, Lona Brever, Eunice Tobey. Nancy Bowman, Marilyn Biggs, Fran Hodges, Ann Rodenkirch, Kay Mahoney, Hazel Struwe, Fay Young, Imogene Grist, Marge Fernstrom, Doris Low and yours truly. In my J last article I said I would | name the chairman and esicorts for the coming year, but ; as yet our senior regent does I not have all the names so 1 j will leave that chore up to the | new publicity chairman. All j my articles that have been | published during this last year ; I put in a book and presented I it to Mabel Thomas for her j collection. The other book, I j mentioned, should be seen by all as it is a very beautiful ! book. Also there is a place in I it for every co-workers name, j so won't you drop by and put jyour name in the heart. ; A pot-luck supper was served | by all the co-workers. j This is my iast article too ! and it has been fun writing | this column. So good-bye and j please support your next publicity chairman as you have J done for me. Thank you. i See vou at our next meeting | July 7. ! Olga Johnson I.
