After a period of silent meditation in the sanctuary, Dorothy Jepson read a selection and the prayer from the upper room. Viola Low was in charge of the worship and Bobette Fossum in charge-of the program, called "Good news of Peace and Life." Mary Butler summarized the organization and work of the United Nations, which is currently the interest of the study course, for October. A dialogue, given' by Phyllis Rasmussrn and Bobbette Fossum explained the work of the U.NJ.P.E.F. and emphasized the importance of participating in this very worthwhile Hallowe'en effort. The business meeting followed the discussion of fund raising activities. The motion was carried to buy choir robes, reports of committees were given. Adults and Youth to Worship at Hartlaml One of the functions of the Protestant churches "of the county is to conduct the worship services each Sunday afternoon at the county farm at Hartland. Ringwood Methodist church is in charge of these services at 2 p.m. and travel in a car caravan to Hartland for a tour of the home and services at 3. Each worshiper is asked to bring an offering in the form of canned goods. Rummage Sale The rummage sale was well it tended and over $500 was Meared. We also thank everyone who attended, non-residents included. The refreshments were very good, the music excellent, and the company charming. We had fun and hope we can do it again sometime. New Arrival The Voights have added another little one to their family tree. Theodore Alexander, Jr., put in his appearance at Memorial hospital, Woodstock on Oct. 9 weighing 6 lbs., 8 ozs. He was welcomed at home by Patty, Donnie, Paul, Diane, and Philip .who are all doing their parts to help keep a family of this size running smoothly.
