Fraternity Son Plays Host It was a proud mom and dad that journeyed to Champaign, recently to visit with their freshman son at the University. Mary and Louis Tomasello drove down for Dad's day and were thrilled with Jim As yor may recall, Jim elected to work for a year, because he was tired of being a school boy. As so many of the youngsters are learning in time--nothing wii take the place of a good education! First b:t of entertainment was the football game which ended in defeat for Illinois to Michigan. A ham dinner for the visitors was served at the fraternity house--in this case. Jim is pledged to Pi Kappa Phi. Later in the evening, the Tomasellos enjoyed the movie, "Love for Love" in the auditorium. The couple remained over night at a local hotel. Sunday noon, a banquet dinner was served to all with association meetings for each following. Then came a special program given by the pledge class. Mary and Louis were introduced to Jim's "special date", Kathleen. Jim is studying mechanical engineering and is a "most happv fella" to be pouring over books and studies once more!. Speaking of the Tomasellos, let us extend belated birthday greetings to Miss Louellen who was 17 on Monday. Nov. 9. Incidentally, after a long siege of illness. Mary is beginning to gain weight and is starting to look more like her old self. Let's hope there will be nothing but good health foi her in the future! Dec. 10 with plans for a Christmas party the following Thursday Check your date calendar so you will be available. Western Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mc- Graw of Alamagordo, N. M., have been staying with Louise and Ed Hammerstein the past wetk. Mrs. MrGraw is their daughter. The couple came east to attend the funeral of Mr. McGraw's father who passed away suddenly on Friday. Nov. 6. Services were held in Oak Forest, 111., on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Mr. McGraw, who is a civilian employee connected with the Air Force, will be transferred to Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., in the near future. Best Wishes To Linda Roeske who was 7 on Nov. Of course the people who donated things and came to purchase items deserve a vote of thanks also. McHenry, was fined $200 in county court, and a six months' entence was suspended when he pleaded quilty to driving a car without an operator's license. Ketchum was apprehended the morning after his brother. Larry, 16, was killed in a two car crash. Larry was riding in fhe car driven by Harry Ketchum when it was struck by another vehicle driven by Charles Ritzert, 18, of Crystal Lake. The accident occurred on the Barreville road. Pistakee Bay, suffered a fractured ankle when her car left the road and crashed as she was traveling between Elgin and St. Charles during last Thursday afternoon's snow storm.
