Mc- Henry, announce the engagement of their daughter, Diane Margaret, to Mr. Albert R. Horn, Jr., son of Mr. and'Mrs. Albert R. Horn, Sr., of Wonder Lake. Miss Tabor was a 1958 graduate of TMcHenry high school. She attended Northern Illinois university and is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. Mr. Horn graduated from McHenry high school in 1957 and attended the University of Illinois and Northern Illinois-university. He is a member of Chi Sigma Nu fraternity. The wedding will take place in the fall. Round-Up Club Meets At Church The Round-up club will meet at the Ringwood church Saturday evening, Jan. 9, at 8 o'clock. A to Z Club At Novak Residence The «A to Z club members held their holiday party at the home of Erna Novak in Lakemoor. A pot-luck supper was enjoyed,, after which friends sang "Happy Birthday" to Ddnielie Tapsey. There was an exchange of gifts, and members then drew names for "secret pals" for the coming year. The next meeting will be at the home of. Helen Para in Lakemoor. Freund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Freund of Johnsburg. The couple is planning a fall wedding. Mothers' Club To Meet Jan. 12 St.-Patrick's school Mothers' club will hold its next meeting on Tuesday. Jan. 12, at 2:45 in the church hall. Program Chairman Eleanore Reid has planned a program for the enjoyment of all who attend. Mrs. Leona Estis, fifth grade room mother, will be assisted by mothers of fifth grade students in serving refreshments. Fox River Valley Camp To Hold Installation Fox River Valley Camp, R.- N.A., will hold installation of o f f i c e r s a t t h e M e t h o d f e s t church at 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening, Jan. 12. SPECIAL SCIENCE COURSE OFFERED IN CITY JAN. 26 A course in science for teachers will be offered by National College of Education at McHenry Junior high school, 2l(> Park avenue, McHenry, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 26. This class is planned for the convenience of elementary teachers'" on the job, and others interested in preparirtg .for elementary school teaching. Carrying three hours credit, the class will meet from 3:30 to 6 p.m.. every Tuesday throughout the semester. Students may register at the first meeting of the class on Tuesday, Jan. 26, or may write in advance to the college in Evanston. Dr. Helen Challand, head of the science department, will present this class, which includes an analysis of children's texts and supplementary books, ,field trips, experiments, projects, collections, audio-visual aids, and free material for ali grade levels. Organization of a total science program and problems involved will be handled in discussion groups. Approximately 730 delegates represented more than 56,500 members of the association.
